ECC, TradeMark, Thimbletron

On the road.

Apologies for the lack of entries; I've been quite busy with packing out of my house and getting on the road. And now, I am on it.

What this means:

  • I've moved out of Columbus.

  • I've played my final ECC show there.

  • I'm on tour.

I'm currently on tour with Chromelodeon, an 8-piece band from Philadelphia that plays live video game music. (Really!) We're in Chicago currently, having had lacklusters shows already in Louisville and Detroit. The kick-off show in Columbus was pretty good though, but it was shooting fish in a barrel really -- the final ECC show in Columbus, the capper for my 18-year history there and all. It was a good feeling to see that many people and friends show up for it though. Thanks so much to all those that did.

It's disconcerting to be moved out of Columbus. Actually there are still some loose ends to clear up with all that, but for the most part, it's done. Next, we get to move into our new digs in San Francisco, which happens basically as soon as I get to town there, about nine days down the road. It'll be great to secure our new place and start feeling like I have a "real home" again.

Meanwhile we're doing our best to salvage this tour and make it worthwhile. It's a lousy day in Chicago -- freezing cold, raining, and windy -- but some of us are going to go out in it and brave the elements to put flyers into the hands of the unsuspecting. Let's hope it makes for a good show.
